National Park Week 2012
April 21-29

National Park Week is proclaimed each year by the President of the United States to recognize and celebrate our national parks. America's National Park System contains living examples of some of the best things our nation has to offer-magnificent natural landscapes and places that reflect our heritage.

Each spring Voyageurs National Park celebrates with an annual Youth Art Contest and Open House. Kids from preschool through sixth grade enter the contest by creating a painting or drawing that illustrates a park theme. During the open house prizes are awarded and activities are available for the entire family. This year's open house will be held on April 28, 2012 at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
