Virgin Islands National Park
Guest Speakers

Invite a Virgin Islands National Park Ranger to your classroom! A Ranger can make a presentation to prepare students for a school field trip to the Park. Even if you're not planning a field trip, Rangers can speak to students about a variety of topics connected to the Park, such as the land and ocean plants & animals, archaeological evidence of the Taino people, the Danish sugar plantation era, and more. For a school Career Fair, Rangers can introduce students to careers within the National Park Service.

Gecko searching for insects.

Did You Know?
One of the smallest lizards on St. John is the Dwarf Gecko. This tiny, inch-long reptile is native to the island, while many of the other geckos arrived on sailing ships in the 17th century. Dwarf Geckos feed on insects in the forest during the day, while most other geckos are nocturnal feeders.
