Vicksburg National Military Park staff and volunteers will present tours and interpretive programs on the USS Cairo Gunboat beginning at 4:00 pm Saturday, December 8 and Sunday, December 9, 2012. Learn the story of the USS Cairo, and the importance of the U.S. Navy's role in capturing the City of Vicksburg, and how it affected the lives of both soldiers, sailors, and civilians during the siege.
