Entrance fees will be waived during the entire week, making it easier for visitors to tour the park and enjoy its significant resources.

National Park Week is a presidentially proclaimed celebration in recognition of America's National Parks, celebratingwhat we all have inherited as Americans - 84 million acres of the world's most spectacular scenery, historic landmarks and cultural treasures. This year's theme - Picture Yourself in a National Park - encourages visitors to provide photos of them visiting National Parks to be used on the parks' social media network sites. In conjunction with National Park Week, Junior Ranger Day activities will provide the opportunity for America's youth to explore, protect, and learn about the nation's national parks.

Vicksburg National Military Park invites everyone to take advantage of these fee-free days, and come out to celebrate this special week by experiencing the National Parks.
