Multiple monument located on the south side of Confederate Avenue at the Tennessee Memorial. This unit was attached to Maj. Gen. Franklin Gardner's 3d Military District at Port Hudson, LA, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana, and commanded by Col. A. J. Brown. Later the regiment was transferred to Jackson, MS, consolidated with the 46th Tennessee Infantry regiment, and attached to Brig. Gen. Samuel B. Maxey's Brigade, of Maj. Gen. Samuel G. French's Division (organized 21 June 1863), Gen. Joseph E. Johnston's Army of Relief, Department of the West, and commanded by Col. Alexander J. Brown and Lt. Col. G. B. Black.
