Monument is located on the south side of Union Avenue approximately .6 mile west of Grant Avenue. This unit was attached to Col. Adolph Engelmann's Brigade of Brig. Gen. Nathan Kimball's Provisional Division, Maj. Gen. Cadwallader C. Washburn's XVI Army Corps (Detachment)on Maj. Gen'l William T. Sherman's exterior line.
