Multiple monument is located on Union Avenue north of the Minnesota Memorial. Also a marker designating the morning assault of 22 May 1863, located in the mowed bay 1000' southeast of the Louisiana Memorial, and a monument and multiple iron tablet designating the afternoon assault of 22 May 1863, located on the east end of the Anshe Chesed Jewish Cemetery near Clay Street. This unit was attached to Colonels George B. Boomer's (killed 22 May 1863) and Holden Putnam's 3d Brigade of Brig. Gen'ls Isaac F. Quimby's and John E. Smith's (assumed command 3 June 1863) 7th Division, Maj. Gen. James B. McPherson's 17th Corps and commanded by Maj. Charles F. Brown (killed) and Capt. Benjamin D. Dean. Later, the regiment was attached to Brig. Gen. Charles L. Matthies' Brigade of Brig. Gen. John McArthur's Provisional Division, Maj. Gen'l Cadwallader C. Washburn's XVI Army Corps (Detachment) on Maj. Gen. William T. Sherman's exterior line.
