Multiple monument located on the north side of Confederate Avenue, approximately 0.6 miles east of the Tennessee Memorial. Also, a trench marker located on the north side of Confederate Avenue approximately 0.4 miles east of the Tennessee Memorial. At the Battle of Chickasaw Bayou, this unit was attached to Col. Allen Thomas' Provisional Brigade, of Brig. Gen. Stephen D. Lee's Provisional Division, and commanded by Col. Robert Richardson. Afterwards, the regiment was assigned to Brig. Gen. William E. Baldwin's Brigade, of Maj. Gen. Martin Luther Smith's Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Col. Robert Richardson, Lt. Col. Madison Rogers, and Maj. W. A. Redditt. [Refer to Edwin Bearss' The Vicksburg Campaign, Volume I, page 225; Volume II, page 407; and Volume III, pages 779, 869, and 966.]
