This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Daniel Ruggles' 1st Military District, headquartered at Columbus, MS, of Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana, and commanded by Capt. Isham J. Warren. This company was broken up and reassigned to the 12th Cavalry Battalion Mississippi Partisan Rangers.
