Multiple monument located at Fort Hill (Park Tour Stop 9). Also an iron tablet located on the north side of Confederate Avenue approximately 0.1 mile east of the Tennessee Memorial. This unit was attached to Col. A. Jackson, Jr.'s and Lt. Col. R. Sterling's 1st Tennessee Heavy Artillery, of Col. Edward Higgins' River Defense Batteries, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Capt. J.P. Lynch. [Refer to Edwin Bearss' The Vicksburg Campaign, Volume III, pages 873 and 968.]
