Holmes' District of Arkansas, in Lt. Gen. Edmund Kirby Smith's Trans-Mississippi Department, and commanded by Col. B.G. Jeans. [Refer to Edwin Bearss' The Vicksburg Campaign, Volume III, page 1244.]
