Listed on the North Carolina State Memorial. This unit was attached to This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Marcellus A. Stovall's Brigade of Maj. Gen'l John C. Breckinridge's Division, Gen. Joseph E. Johnston's Army of Relief, Department of the West and was commanded by Col. Wash M. Hardy. The regiment arrive in Jackson, MS on 1 June 1863 and on 4 July 1863 was headquartered at Bolton.
