  • Illinois Monument Closure - Wednesday, September 24, 2014

    The Illinois Monument and immediate area will be closed to all visitors and tour traffic beginning at 8:00 a.m. and remain closed until contractors and lift equipment operators complete necessary measurements required for bat exclusion project work.

Holmes' District of Arkansas, in Lt. Gen. Edmund Kirby Smith's Trans-Mississippi Department, and commanded by Lt. Col. B.F. Gordon.
