Monument located on Confederate Avenue between the Tennessee Memorial and the Stockade Redan (Park Tour Stop 10). At the Battle of Chickasaw Bayou, this unit was attached to Col. Allen Thomas' Provisional Brigade, of Brig. Gen. Stephen D. Lee's Provisional Division. During the Greenville Expedition, the regiment was assigned to Brig. Gen. Stephen D. Lee's Reinforced Brigade, of Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana.

Afterwards, the unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Francis A. Shoup's 3d Brigade, of Maj. Gen. Martin Luther Smith's Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Col. Winchester Hall (wounded 19 May 1863) and Lt. Col. William C. Crow. [Refer to Edwin Bearss' The Vicksburg Campaign, Volume I, page 225; Volume II, page 128; and Volume III, pages 779, 870, and 966.]
