This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. John Adams' 4th Military District, headquartered at Jackson, MS, of Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana, and commanded by Maj. W.B. Harper. The unit was disbanded in April 1863.
