The National Park Service turns 100 on August 25, 2016. To us, it's not about cakes and candles — it's about being an organization ready to take on the challenges of our second century. Kayakers and local officials joined park and RTCA staff, and Hudson River Greenway/NHA to dedicate Bard Rock, at the Vanderbilt Mansion, as an official site on the Hudson River Greenway Water Trail. Read more

Did You Know?
In August of 2014 the NPS found out that Louise Vanderbilt was born September 4, 1854, making her only 18 months older than Frederick and not 12 years as orginally thought.
