Scheduled Visits for School Groups Bona fide school groups may reserve a date and time to visit the USS Arizona Memorial. Tickets will be set aside for school group reservations for the 10:00 am and 1:00 pm programs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. At no cost to the school or students, school visit coordinators will work with a National Park Service representative to organize a quality, age-appropriate visit to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. If you're interested in booking a school group visit outside of these six time slots, beginning February 16, 2012, you may go online at http://www.Recreation.gov to reserve group tickets for the date and time of your choice. Please note: Online reservations involve a $1.50 per ticket convenience fee, which is non-refundable under all circumstances. You may also try for walk-up tickets on the day of your visit, which are first-come, first-served and free of charge. Did You Know?
There were 1.4 million gallons of fuel on the USS Arizona when she sank. Over 60 years later, approximately nine quarts still surfaces from the ship each day. Some Pearl Harbor survivors have referred to the oil droplets as "Black Tears."
