Travel and new experiences were key objectives of jamborees- seeing America en route and living and sharing with boys from all over the nation and world. For many scouts, a Valley Forge jamboree was their first visit to the east coast. Scouts could take train excursions to Philadelphia, Washington DC, and New York. |
