DEATH INVESTIGATION ON George Washington Memorial Parkway

The United States Park Police are conducting a death investigation in Riverside Park on the GeorgeWashington Memorial Parkway which occurred at approximately 3:36 PM on August 5, 2005.

Preliminary investigation indicates an unidentified male was observed by a citizen hanging by a rope around his neck from a tree. Fire and Rescue attempts to revive the male were unsuccessful. This case is currently under investigation. Identification of the subject is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
