Fatal Crash on Edmonston Rd

On 4/29/08 at approximately 9:30 p.m., the United States Park Police responded to northbound Edmonston (Route 201) Road north of Cherrywood Lane for a motor vehicle crash. A white Chrysler Lebaron, the sole vehicle involved, left the roadway and collided into a guardrail and a stone wall. Speed may have been a factor in this crash.

The two occupants, a male and female were both ejected from the vehicle. The male driver was pronounced deceased on the scene. The female occupant was transported by a Maryland State helicopter to a local hospital in critical condition.

Edmonston Road was closed for approximately three hours while the on scene investigation was conducted.

The deceased was identified as a 24 year old male, James William Hughes III of Odenton, MD. The female occupant was identified as 22 year old Ruth Nicole Milbourne of Queenstown, MD.
