 The United States Park Police advises that:

 IMPERSONATING A FEDERAL OFFICER


On 3/31/05 at approximately 0349 hours, while conducting an investigative follow-up of an unrelated case, members of the United States Park Police were advised of an alleged robbery that had just occurred in the area of 14th and K Street NW, DC involving a subject who had been impersonating a Federal Agent. The subject was located in the area. When members of the United States Park Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the subject’s vehicle, he fled at a high rate of speed. The pursuit continued throughout the District of Columbia and traveled onto Rt. 210 into Maryland. A Sergeant of the U.S. Park Police identified a cell phone number for the subject and contacted him during the chase. A negotiation began over the phone and the subject ultimately surrendered on Rt. 210 near Prospect Ave. in Charles County. The subject was arrested for related traffic offenses and charges will be pending in the District of Columbia.
