 The United States Park Police advises of a:
 

Pedestrian Struck on Clara Barton Parkway

 

 

The United States Park Police were notified of a struck pedestrian on Clara Barton Parkway on January 8, 2008 at approximately 6:20 p.m. Initial investigation revealed that a male motorcyclist was stopped westbound on the parkway at the ramp to Cabin John Parkway. While on the parkway waiting for assistance he was struck by a black Chevy Suburban with Maryland registration.

The struck pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of Chevy stopped and is cooperating with investigators.

The left lane of the parkway is partially blocked for crash reconstruction and the investigation; however traffic is able to access Cabin John Parkway or continue on westbound Clara Barton Parkway.
