Contact: Loren Goering, 570-729-7574
Flood water on the Upper Delaware River resulted in boats, propane tanks, tables and other items being swept downstream. Now that the water level has gone down, locating and recovering items lost in the flood will become easier.
You are requested to contact the National Park Service before you attempt to recover any items from the river. The National Park Service will assist in reuniting found property with its rightful owner. There are no salvage rights on the Delaware River, and keeping property found in the Delaware River is against the law.
Please call 845-557-0222 or 570-729-7134 to report lost or found items. In order to recover your property, please be prepared to provide your name, address, phone number, and proof of ownership such as bill of sale, registration, or distinctive markings when you call.
