Roebling Bridge Road Work Delayed Until Monday, August 17, 2009
Road work originally scheduled for August 13 and 14 has been delayed until Monday, August 17, 2009. “The weather has forced them to postpone their work until Monday, commented Superintendent Vidal Martinez.

National Park Service Announces Minor Delays Crossing the Roebling Bridge
On August 13 and 14 motorists between Lackawaxen, PA and Minisink Ford, NY should be prepared for short delays crossing the Roebling Bridge. Intermittent closures of the bridge will allow contractors to seal the cracks, apply a top coating, and line stripe the approach roads to the bridge.

Evening Nocturnal Program to be Held at the Zane Grey Museum
Join Park Ranger Alyson Lasko to learn about all things nocturnal. Through demonstrations, visitors will learn why some species of animals are nocturnal and the adaptations that they hold, as well as why it is important for some species to be nocturnal compared to being awake during the daylight hours.

The Zane Grey Festival to be held again at the Zane Grey Museum
The National Park Service and the Zane Grey’s West Society will host the Zane Grey Festival again this summer. Zane Grey was a prolific writer of Western novels who resided in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania from 1905 to 1918. The festival will be held at the Zane Grey Museum in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania. It will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, July 18, 2009.

Summer Programs for Children to be Held at the Zane Grey Museum
It is that time of the year when children look forward to the end of the school year. Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River wants to keep the love of learning and reading alive and well during the summer months. To that end the programs “River Readings” and “Backyard Biology” will again be offered this summer.

Roebling Bridge and Minisink Trail Repairs
Two historic Upper Delaware resources that received extensive damage during the floods of 2004-05-06 will receive extra attention this construction season, according to Superintendent Vidal Martinez of the National Park Service.
