Description: Gordon Park is a 13.7 acre central city neighborhood park located on the west bank of the Milwaukee River. Rehabilitation includes installation of new playground equipment, splash pad, walkways, park furniture, lighting, bike racks, and landscaping.

Description: Renovated swimming pool, playground, resurfaced play court, and installed new play equipment.

Project Name: Collaborative Recreation Programming

Federal Share: $99,814

Fiscal Year: 1992

Description: A collatorative model recreation program was instituted at three park sites - Washington Park, Kosciusko Community Center, and King Community Center. The project involved maximizing coordination among all public agencies and private interests with the goal of increasing recreation programs and institute "Park Watch" programs to reduce vandalism and crime. A Private Industry Council was orgaized to sponsor a student work program. The work program provided specific park improvements, and it also been successful in fostering community pride and ownership in neighborhood parks.

Project Name: Kelly Park, Hammond Park, Wade Bowl, and Central Park

Federal Share: $80,000

Fiscal Year: 1979

Description: Kelly Park - constructed a new shelter, installed playground equipment, renovated picnic facilities and landscaping. Hammond Park - constructed a new shelter, installed playground equipment, renovated picnicking area, and landscape improvements. Wade Bowl - relocated hockey rink and storm drain, constructed a new shelter, installed playground equipment, and landscape improvements. Central Park - replaced playground equipment, renovated picnic area, and landscape improvements.

Project Name: Pattison Play Area

Federal Share: $77,700

Fiscal Year: 2001

Description: Install new recreation shelter, add in-line hockey surface, new lighting, fencing, and skating rink.
