Shelby Park - renovated tennis courts, demolished small pool and bathhouse, constructed basketball court and play areas. California Park - renovated football field, sidewalks, installed water fountains, and demolished wading pool.

Description: Develop a documentary tape on Olmsted's work on Louisville's Parks. Renovated Boone Square Park which is one of Olmsted's parks.

Description: E. Leland Taylor - renovated playground, tot-lot, two basketball courts, concession stand, resurfaced ball courts, installed fence on north side of park, backstop, bleachers, installed water fountain, picnic tables, pads, and grills. Parkhill Park - replaced two basketball courts, spray pool, ballfield, installed backstop, playground equipment, and lights. Algonquin Park - renovated restrooms, bathhouse and concession stand, diving boards, infield, fences, wading pool and wall, lights, and purchased goals and nets for basketball court.

Project Name: Muhammad Ali Youth Association Recreation

Federal Share: $85,000

Fiscal Year: 1992

Description: Muhammad Ali Youth Association is based in the south and western sections of the city. Program targets youth 7-18, low-income, minority neighborhoods. Funds were used to purchase van to transport children to various recreation events and facilities, purchased recreation equipment, and trained recreation staff in activities such as golf, tennis, and soccer.
