Holidays at White HavenOn December 14, 2013 the tours of Ulysses S. Grant's White Haven home will feature the holiday traditions of the mid-1800s. Join in the caroling, listen to stories and play games of the past. Everyone can make an ornament to take home. The holiday tours will leave from the visitor center every 20 minutes starting at 10:00am and ending at 2:00pm.
Individuals, families and groups are welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations are only recommended for groups larger than 15.
Did You Know?
White Haven was named after the Dent family home in Maryland, although it was never painted white during the nineteenth century. When President Grant owned the property, he had the house painted Paris Green, a typical Victorian-era color.
