Plan A Field Trip

Field trips to Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site are a great way to engage students in learning about the past. A variety of ranger-led programs can be scheduled in advance or we can design something specific to meet your needs.

There is no entrance fee to the site and all programs are offered free of charge. Choose from the By-Request Ranger Programs or contact the site's education director to discuss other options.

White Haven restored to 1875 color

White Haven was named after the Dent family home in Maryland, although it was never painted white during the nineteenth century. When President Grant owned the property, he had the house painted Paris Green, a typical Victorian-era color.
