Junior Ranger Day 2014
Join the staff and volunteers for Go Wild for Ulysses S. Grant Junior Ranger Day. On April 26, 2014 starting at 9:00 a.m. with a fun walk and bicycle ride down Grant's trail. At 10:00 a.m. join rangers for singing, games and special tours of the historic house. Earn your Junior Ranger Day Patch.
The park has a free Junior Ranger program, with activity booklets for ages 5-7, 8-10, and 11+.Junior Ranger candidates must visit the site to see the park film and tour the historic home and museum, in addition to completing several activities from their booklet to earn their very own Junior Ranger badge and certificate.
You may also download and print PDF versions of the booklets through the links below and bring them with you when you visit the site to earn the badge and certificate.

NEW! The site now offers a Junior Ranger patch, available for $1.95, to those children completing the Junior Ranger activities at the site. Ask at the Visitor Center desk if you wish to purchase the patch after finishing the Junior Ranger program.
Did You Know?
Ulysses Grant freed the only slave he is known to have owned, William Jones, in March 1859. It is unclear exactly when or why he acquired Jones from his father-in-law, Colonel Frederick Dent.
