WHAT WE DO

The Alternative Transportation Program was launched in 1998. It is responsible for coordinating policies, projects and activities related to planning, partnering, and implementation of alternative transportation systems within and to National Park System units. The Program also develops strategies and recommendations for Servicewide application on issues crossing agency and State/Federal lines and jurisdictions.
