REAUTHORIZATION

Highway Trust Fund Reauthorization is traditionally six years. The National Park Service (NPS) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have completed the rollout of SAFETEA-LU using various venues such as a PowerPoint presentation intended for Regional Directors and Superintendents; Associate Director’s summary memorandum; fact sheets; a website; and a TELNET presentation. Additional activities are possible. However, in anticipation of the Highway Trust Fund Reauthorization in FY 2009, the NPS and FHWA are preparing a strategy to present to the administration and Congress.
