Federal Lands Highway Discretionary

The Infrastructure Office of the Federal Highway Administration has issued guidance on applying for Public Lands Highways Discretionary funds. Attached with the Guidance Memorandum is a list of FY 2006 project designations. A look at the projects show: Golden Gate; Campobello; Boston Harbor Islands ; Lowell , Natchez Trace Parkway ; Thomas Cole; Blackstone Heritage Area; Stones River National Battlefield; and Jamestown . The Park and Region should work together to file an application (attachment #2) with the State by January 20, 2006. These projects are discretionary and the money for this program is oversubscribed, so it is in the best interest of the project to get your applications in early.
