Research Goals

The cooperative agreement between the NPS and the Eppley Institute outlines
the expected outcomes for completed research. These outcomes include:
- determine employee-perceived importance of specific job related competencies
as they pertain to overall "performance" of an employee’s duties
- determine employee-perceived degree of preparation for completion of
specific, job-related competencies
- determine gaps between competency importance and preparation
- analyze employee and supervisor differences in perceptions of importance
and preparation
- analyze differences between entry level, developmental, and full performance
level employees
