An Update On the TEL Initiative

As of November 15, 2001, fifty-six (56) TEL stations have been installed in NPS areas throughout the country.  Approximately forty (40) more TEL stations are scheduled for installation by the end of January 2002. For a list of sites with installed TEL stations, go to http://www.telnps.net

The Supervision, Management & Leadership career field is currently offering 3 courses via TEL: 

• Managing Performance

• Resolving Performance Issues

• Dealing with Misconduct & Progressive Discipline 

Curriculum development efforts are currently underway for seven new TEL courses to be piloted in the third quarter of FY 2002:

• Writing Critical Results

• Introduction to Effective Communications

• Appeals and Grievances

• Pay and Leave Issues

• Workers Compensation

• Position Classification

• Making GPRA Work for You
