The Natural Resource Stewardship Career Field is an interdisciplinary career field whose employees utilize the tools of natural and social science to enable the National Park Service to fulfill its core mission: the protection of park resources and values unimpaired for future generations. Employees in the natural resource career field must strive to understand, maintain, restore and protect the inherent integrity of the natural resources, processes, systems and values of parks while providing meaningful and appropriate opportunities to enjoy them.
