Program Description: Effective Use of Type with Teams is open to all Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) users. Poor communication and lack of mutual respect frustrate team members and team effectiveness. Participants in this workshop will learn how to use psychological type and the MBTI to enhance communication and increase the interpersonal functioning of teams by learning common strategies based on the developmental stage of the team or its level of functioning; exploring decision-making styles; and promoting the constructive use of differences among team members. The workshop includes exercises, training designs, and suggested materials, with careful attention to the "how to's."

Program Title: Leadership Seminar

Number: SML-4001

Program Description: The 40-hour Leadership Seminar will help supervisors and managers gain a new understanding of their personal leadership characteristics and increased appreciation of the diversity and strengths of their employees. It will also help them manage and adapt to change in the workplace. The seminar consists of a series of critical leadership issues presented for open discussion. Participants will be asked to review their current thinking and practices as they relate to the issues. In the end, each participant will address the question, "What personal responsibility will I accept to make a difference?" A special feature of this program is BENCHMARKS, a confidential, professionally designed multi-rater assessment that will help the participants develop a better understanding of their personal leadership skills and perspectives.

The Seminar will fulfill DOI requirements for performance appraisal and risk management training, and NPS requirements for financial/asset management training. It will fulfill the OPM requirement for a 40-hour supervisory training program every two years. It will also provide an introduction to cost-saving alternate dispute resolution techniques. Participants will include all permanent supervisors, work leaders, managers, and executives in every NPS office. All grade levels, disciplines, and job series are included. Anyone who is a "designated leader" may attend, regardless of their supervisory status.

Program Title: Managerial Grid, Instructor Preparation Seminar

Program Description: Managerial Grid, Instructor Preparation Seminar is designed to allow those persons who have successfully completed Phase I of the Managerial Grid to learn more about the Grid concepts and process, and to learn how to become a Managerial Grid Phase I seminar manager. It is conducted simultaneously with a Phase I seminar.

Program Description: The first two days of Situational Leadership Training for Trainers are the same as Situational Leadership. The third day is trainer specific. The course will be presented by Blanchard Training and Development, Inc. Upon completion, participants will be entitled to deliver Situational Leadership.
