Description: Provides technical support and performs less complex drafting duties. Typically works under the supervision of a master draftsman.

DEVELOPMENTAL LEVEL
Description: Provides a wide variety of technical support and services for landscape architectural projects from conceptual planning through construction modification phase. Works mostly independently and coordinates with designers as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE LEVEL
Description: Provides specialized technical support from conception planning through design, construction modification phase of projects. Works on a variety of projects; specializes in one discipline, acts as lead technician.

Same as developmental level plus:
Technical knowledge of and ability to apply basic specific landscape architecture and engineering concepts/ principles/practices/methods and materials
Ability to coordinate/organize and manage work within established time frames
Ability to analyze guidelines and resolve problems
Ability to participate as part of a multidisciplinary team and to mentor and guide lower graded employees/coworkers
Knowledge of NPS planning, design, construction and modification process
Familiarity with the contributions/requirements of other disciplines, i.e., civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, and architecture
