Description: Provides technical support and performs less complex drafting duties. Typically works under the supervision of a master draftsman.

DEVELOPMENTAL LEVEL
Description: Provides a wide variety of technical support and services for engineering projects from conceptual planning through construction modification phase. Works mostly independently and coordinates with designers as required.

FULL PERFORMANCE LEVEL
Description: Provides specialized technical support from conception planning through design, construction modification phase of projects. Works on a variety of projects; specializes in one discipline, acts as lead technician.

Same as developmental level plus:
Technical knowledge of and ability to apply basic specific architecture and engineering concepts/principles/practices/ methods and materials
Ability to coordinate/organize and manage work within established time frames
Ability to analyze guidelines and resolve problems
Ability to participate as part of a multidisciplinary team and to mentor and guide lower graded employees/coworkers
Knowledge of NPS planning, design, construction and modification process
Familiarity with the contributions/requirements of other disciplines, i.e., civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, architecture, and landscape architecture
