ENTRY LEVEL
Description: These competencies identify the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required to provide recommendation on positions classification actions for a limited variety of positions. Work is as a trainee while receiving assignments designed for development. Work is performed under close supervision with no final signature authority.

Ability to prepare an evaluator's statement which supports recommended title, series, and grade for limited positions
Ability to research and apply written guidelines
Knowledge of basic pay administration in relation to classification principles
DEVELOPMENTAL LEVEL
Description: These competencies identify the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to advise management on a variety of position classification principles and practices and all types of positions. Work is performed as an advanced trainee with signature authority for a defined range of positions. Work is reviewed periodically.

Ability to research, analyze, and apply a variety of written guidelines
Knowledge of intermediate pay administration rules, regulations, and policies in relation to position classification principles
Ability to provide assistance in devising solutions to organizational structure and position management issues to meet the needs of management and which best utilizes park's and/or units human resources
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to explain position and/or processes of a technical nature
FULL PERFORMANCE LEVEL
Description: These competencies identify the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required to provide full advisory services to management on the classification program; conducting personnel management evaluations; administering the pay administration program. Work is performed with full signature authority.

Ability to analyze organizational structure and position management issues to provide recommendations to meet the needs of management and which best utilizes park's and/or unit's human resources
Ability to apply complex pay administration rules and regulations to a variety of actions
Ability to research, analyze, and apply complex written guidelines to determine proper title, series, and grade for all types of positions
Ability to conduct a formal evaluation/review of a unit's classification program
