Skill in operating equipment to accomplish typing assignments
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation to identify and correct errors.
Skill in using standard dictionaries
Knowledge of outgoing mail procedures
Knowledge of subject files and manual for proper filing of materials
Basic knowledge of unit organization to refer inquires to appropriate personnel
FULL PERFORMANCE LEVEL
Description: These competencies identify the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required to provide clerical assistance for a work unit.
I. Clerical
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Skill in operating a conventional or word processing equipment to accomplish assignments in a proficient manner
Knowledge of specialized terminology to use reference dictionaries to ensure proper spelling
Knowledge of correspondence procedures to produce material of a routine and nonroutine nature in final format
