2011-2012 Bevinetto Congressional Fellowship
The Office of Legislative and Congressional Affairs is recruiting two Bevinetto Congressional Fellows for 2011 and 2012. This is a two-year training and development program for mid-career professionals that provides the opportunity to be involved in the interaction between Congress and the NPS on key policy issues.
This program is one of the best career-building opportunities NPS offers. Most former Bevinetto Fellows hold positions as park superintendents or program chiefs or are in other leadership positions. The NPS leadership is committed to ensuring that Bevinetto Feloows have attractive positions open to them after the two-year program is completed.
During the first year, the Bevinetto Fellow works as a staff member to a Member of Congress, a committee, or a congressional support agency. During the second year, the Bevinetto Fellow works as a legistlative affairs specialist in the Office of Legislative and Congressional Affairs or as a staff member of another Washington, DC office of NPS as determined by the Director.
