The Bevinetto Congressional Fellowship

The Bevinetto Congressional Fellowship is a two-year developmental program. The first year is spent on Capitol Hill working on the staff of a member, committee, or a support agency/organization of the Congress. Duties include drafting legislation and amendments, writing committee reports, staffing constituent meetings and serving as a resource during hearings and markups. In the second year, the Bevinetto Fellow works as a legislative affairs specialist in the Office of Legislative Affairs, WASO. The Fellow assists in the development, coordinatiion, and implementation of the national park service legistive affairs program, including congressional relations and controlled correspondence.

The Bevinetto Congressional Fellowship is announced annually in late summer. The announcement appears on USAJobs as a vacancy announcement for a Legislative Affairs Specialist GS-12/13.
