Aspiring Leader Program
The Aspiring Leader Program is a six-month program
of formal and informal training open to all Federal Government employees,
at the GS-5 through 7 level. This program requires time and commitment
from both participant and their organization.
The program is structured around three, 5-day residential
seminars that are held within a 200-mile radius of the Washington,
D.C., metropolitan area. Each seminar includes a daily classroom
schedule, several mandatory evening sessions, and additional developmental
work assignments. These assignments are designed to meet each individual's
needs, while participants work closely with managers to design assignments
that will best serve them. The program provides two main benefits:
1) Participants will acquire the skills needed to
work well in a team environment
2) Organizations will acquire team-oriented, self-directed staff
members.
