School groups of all ages are welcome to visit Tonto National Monument. For information on available activities, click on the link.

Children under sixteen are admitted at no cost. Teachers and chaperones are waived from the $3 fee by filling out the fee waiver form.

We ask that reservations be made at least two weeks in advance. For reservations or more information, please call us at (928)467-2241 or e-mail us.

When you call to make a reservation, please have the following information ready:

  • School name and address
  • Contact person and phone number
  • Planned date and time of arrival
  • Number of students and grade level or age
  • Number of teachers/chaperones

Did You Know?
The river canyons that are a part of the Wild & Scenic River (Mariscal, Boquillas, and the Lower Canyons) receive only a small number of floaters each year, due to length & isolated locations. Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park is the focus of much of the river activity on the Rio Grande.
