Tonto National Monument offers a variety of wonderful opportunities for children to learn about the archeological and natural resources of the area.

Check our calendar of events for talks, tours, and special activities that might be scheduled during your visit. Also be sure to check out our virtual tour.

We also have a Junior Ranger and a Junior Web Ranger program for children ages 6 - 14.

Did You Know?
The Dagger Flat Auto Trail is an eight-mile improved dirt road, open to cars. The road ends in a hidden valley where the giant dagger yuccas grow 15-20 feet high. In March and April of some years, clusters of white flowers weighing up to 70 pounds cap these giants.
