Timpanogos Cave open for tours May 10 with new online ticket sales, price increase
Visitors have been buying tickets to tour Timpanogos Cave for 92 years, and on May 5, they will finally be able to do it on-line. Daily tours begin Saturday, May 10 and are expected to run through late September.

Timpanogos Cave will kick off its 90th summer season Memorial day weekend, with the first cave tour of the year on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Tours will be offered until late September.

The closure in American Fork Canon has been partially lifted, allowing access to Timpanogos Cave National Monument for cave tours. The visitor center and concessions will open at 7:00am with the first hike to the caves at 7:20am. Visitors who purchased tickets in advance for Friday, July 6, 2012 will have their tickets honored.

Starting Saturday May 12, 2012 visitors should add a visit to Timpanogos Cave National Monument to their “must do” outdoor activities list for the season. The visitor center will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through Labor Day, and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the remainder of the season. Cave tour tickets may be purchased up to thirty days in advance starting May 12 by calling the visitor center at (801) 756-5238 and using a credit card.

Mt Timpanogos

At an elevation of 11,750 ft, Mt. Timpanogos is the 2nd highest mountain in Utah’s Wasatch Range. The word Timpanogos (tim´pa ­no´gas) comes from the Timpanogots Ute tribe who lived in the surrounding valleys from A.D. 1400. The name translates as rock (tumpi-), and water mouth or canyon (panogos).
