Amtrak's Empire Builder route offers service through North Dakota.  The nearest stop to the park is in Williston, ND, approximately 60 miles from the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  See www.amtrak.com for more information.

The petrified forest trees include huge dawn redwood, magnolia, ginkgo, cypress, date and palm trees that once grew 60 million years ago.
