Explore, Learn, Protect, & have FUN!

Theodore Roosevelt National Park invites children 6 years of age and older to become official Junior Rangers. You can earn a Junior Ranger badge when you learn about Theodore Roosevelt National Park and help rangers protect the park.

Pick up a free Junior Ranger Journal at any park visitor center. The Journal is full of activities for kids to do all about the park's history, animals, plants, and geology.

After you complete all of your activities, review them with a ranger. The ranger will sign your certificate and award you with an official Junior Ranger badge!

Junior Ranger Family Fun Days

Theodore Roosevelt National Park is recruiting Junior Rangers and their families to spend a day discovering the park's many resources. Throughout the summer the park will host Junior Ranger Family Fun Days for kids ages 5 through 12 and their families. To register a Junior Ranger please call the South Unit visitor center at (701) 623-4466.

On Saturday, July 17, 2010 there will be a Junior Ranger day highlighting the wildlife of the park. To view a schedule of the days events click here

On Sunday, August 1, 2010 there will be a Junior Ranger day highlighting Theodore Roosevelt's life in the North Dakota Badlands. To view a schedule of the days events click here

On Saturday, August 28, 2010 there will be a Sky Junior Ranger day highlighting astronomy.
