Vicksburg National Military Park

Nat poses by a gun at Fort Hill, overlooking the Mississippi River. His guides also gave him a history lesson and explained why this location was so important in determining who controlled the river.

 

Nat sits in the exact stop where Ulysses S. Grant of the Union Army and John C. Pemberton of the Confederate Army met on July 3, 1863 to discuss the surrender of the Confederate soldiers at Vicksburg.
