What do animals need to survive in their habitats?
Objective:
Students will create originally crafted animals while considering how they find what they need in their habitats.
Background:
Our amazing wildlife depend on their habitats for survival. Maybe you’ve heard of a habitat before? The forest, shoreline, and lakes are all examples of habitats. There are four things that are very important within an animals’ habitat. Any guesses? Food, water, shelter, and space!
Materials
Craft, diorama, and sketch activities to explore animal adaptations. This activity can be stand alone or can accompany the classroom program "Wildlife in Their Habitat".
