Animals protected in the nature of National Parks are wild animals, not domestic. Brainstorm what makes an animal “wild” or “domestic.” Another word for domestic is “tame.”
National Parks are very important because they protect the habitats of these wild animals. National Parks protect and preserve many other things too such as plants, the environment, and history.
